IDEANET Marks Retail Broadband Milestone in Greater Jakarta

Jakarta, 14 January 2025: IDEANET's retail broadband footprint in Greater Jakarta has grown to the point that home and small-office lines are a standing part of the business, not a side project next to enterprise circuits.

The consumer side of the network is concrete: more than 10,000 consumer subscribers, more than 70,000 homes passed, and more than 30 prewired areas and buildings. Those figures describe reach. They are not a promise that every street in Jakarta is covered. Availability still depends on the building and the access network in that area.

Retail broadband uses the same operating idea as the enterprise service. An apartment or office in the same building can take dedicated internet, a VPN back to a head office, or managed Wi-Fi if the building needs it.
