IDEANET Announces Cloud and XaaS Partnership for Indonesian SMEs

Jakarta, 5 December 2024: IDEANET is pairing its connectivity business with cloud and XaaS for Indonesian companies, including smaller firms that do not want a separate vendor for the circuit and another for the virtual machines.

The cloud list is the one IDEANET actually sells: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, private cloud, cloud interconnect, CDN and edge, plus database, storage, network, DevOps, and enterprise applications. Tencent Cloud is one hyperscaler partner. It is a partner platform, not an IDEANET-built cloud region. A customer who needs that platform gets it through IDEANET, with the interconnect and the internet circuit on the same account.

XaaS here means the service can be taken as an operating expense: the platform, the link, and the managed care around both. That is a commercial shape, not a discount. The statement of work still lists what is included, such as compute, interconnect, firewall, and backup to a data center or DRC, along with what remains the customer's responsibility.

Companies that already have a data center can keep it. IDEANET also delivers on-premise data center and DRC work, colocation, and partner capacity that includes DRB, CGK10, and CGK11. Cloud does not replace that. It is the option when the workload should not live in the building.
