IDEANET Hosts Customer Briefing on Connectivity Resilience in Malang

SEPTEMBER 11, 2024

Malang, 12 September 2024: IDEANET held a customer briefing in Malang on what actually keeps a site online when the building is full. The conversation was with local business operators, not a product launch.

Three topics kept coming back. The first was a second path: a site that lives on one circuit has nowhere to go when that circuit fails. Wireless, a second access type, or an SD-WAN policy across two links is a design choice, and it has a cost, so it was discussed as a choice. The second was Wi-Fi density. A lobby or a restaurant at peak hour is a capacity problem, not a coverage problem. Access points that light up the floor plan still drop sessions if too many devices share one radio. The third was support. A fault at 20:00 needs a desk that answers and a way to get someone to the building. IDEANET's Surabaya office is the East Java base for that visit.

Nothing in the briefing was a new SLA. Customers who want a backup link or a denser wireless design ask for it in the scope. The point of the meeting was to show what those options are before peak season, when there is no time left to redesign.

IDEANET's East Java work sits on the same portfolio as the rest of the country: dedicated internet, VPN, managed Wi-Fi, and professional services for the build.
